MAKE a Difference: Socially Conscious (and Stunning) Beauty Products

August 28, 2013

I just spent far, far too much time lost in the vibrant colors, elegant design, and riveting stories of We See Beauty!  It is pure brain/eye/soul candy.

We See Beauty is “an aesthetically designed + socially aware website selling beautiful products + sharing ideas.”  Their first, “for benefit” product line is MAKE – a striking line of color cosmetics, skincare, and beauty tools designed by makeup artist Ayami Nishimura and furniture and interior designer Faye Toogood.  MAKE is truly where art meets product from gorgeous designs to health and effective ingredients.

I highly recommend an odyssey through the Wee See Beauty website.  Just be prepared to experience a significant loss in productivity.

The best part about MAKE is that 33.3% of sales go to the We See Beauty Foundation, which supports women-led, worker-owned co-ops.  The foundation opened its first co-op in Brooklyn called Do Good Be Beautiful, which will source, create and sell health beauty and cleaning products.  The goal is to replicate this model and promote social and economic change nationwide.

Beautiful Makeup + Beautiful Design + Beautiful Cause
