Give a Hoot: Aveda’s Full Circle Recycling Program

July 17, 2013

Give a hoot – don’t pollute!

Aveda has always been the guru of green, through and through.  The product philosophy is based on ayurveda, the holistic Indian approach to healing:

“treating the whole person leads to greater balance and well-being, so we consider the effects of our products not only on hair or skin, but on body, mind and emotion.”

In line with their mission, Aveda products are 95% plant-derived, made with responsibly sourced ingredients.  All of their skincare and haircare packaging is 100% post-consumer recycled PET.  Unfortunately, not all of their makeup packaging and tools were recyclable – until now.Aveda's Full Circly Recycling Program

Aveda’s new Full Circle program accepts all Aveda packaging that you can’t recycle in your curbside bin.  Bring your makeup brushes, mixed packaging like rollerballs, bottles with caps, etc. (see below) to one of 107 Aveda Experience Centers around the US.  Aveda will re-use and recycle the packaging for shiny, new Aveda products and make sure your empties skip the landfill.
