Fat Socks: Cure for Cankles

April 1, 2013

The Urban Dictionary defines cankles as “calves that become feet without taking an ankle break.”  This is a deformity that plagues millions of women – particularly during sandal season.  Next to batwings and muffin tops, cankles are the most ridiculed body part.

I developed cankles during the last two months of my pregnancy.  I was mortified and barely left the house.  I feel for women who suffer the shame of cankles on a regular basis.  I mean, it’s not like they can go to the gym and work off their cankles!

Thankfully, fat-fighting clothing company Fatshion is coming out with a cure for cankles.  Fat Socks contain an advanced slimming gel that visibly reduces the appearance of ankle fat while firming skin for a smoother, more youthful look.  Simply sport these slimming socks to reduce the cells that store ankle fat, limit ankle fat production and reduces your body’s ankle fat storing process.

I was skimming through this and fretting about what a “first world” problem this is, and female vanity (of which I’m also guilty), and considering taking off my socks for a private Cankles check… Excellent job.

That’s fantastic! I am sure this product is not out of the realm of possibility, but I hope they come up with a better name than Fat Socks!
