Ladies?! All the Ladies…
I’m taking a break from beauty for the day! Team gloss48 just spent a few days in New York with a fabulous group of ladies at the Women Entrepreneurs Festival. If you are starting a business, I highly recommend signing up for next year’s event. It was educational and inspiring – and we met a lot of amazing women!
Joanne Wilson, angel investor and Gotham Gal blogger, hosted the festival with Nancy Hechinger from NYU’s ITP program. If you are an entrepreneur looking for inspiration and guidance, you should check out Joanne’s blog. She frequently profiles female entrepreneurs.
We came across more amazing women and startups than I can possibly share with you, but here are a few highlights:
Mi Ola Swimwear. Surfer / businesswoman Helena Fogarty created a sexy swimwear line that won’t budget when you wipe out. While I am not a surfer (sigh – someday!), I find that many of my suits take a dive while I am simply standing in the ocean. I’m excited to find a suit that stays put!
weeSpring. We caught up with Melissa Post, new mom of twins Allyson and Dylan – and of social shopping site weeSpring. The site connects you with other parent pals to give you the inside scoop on everything baby.
TAY skincare. As you know, TAY is a gloss48 favorite – as is founder Sarah Tay. Sarah is a former L’Oreal exec who created a line of natural, effective, and luxurious skincare. We LOVE her bamboo packaging – antimicrobial AND beautiful.
Have you heard about an amazing startups lately? Do tell!
