It IS Easy Being Green | Revolution Organics Gloss + Glow

August 17, 2012

Kermit the Frog

It IS easy being green – for you.  Everyday, we are seeing more and more fabulous organic, or at least natural, beauty products.  I’m not a purist. I would say that Mother Nature and I are more eco-friendly with benefits.  My products have to perform the way that I need them to – and I generally feel better about them if they are organic.

It is not as easy being green for beauty companies.  While many claim to be organic, very few of them carry the rigorous USDA Certification. To earn the USDA seal, products must be at least 95% certified organic – the real deal.  Revolution Organics is one of the product lines that carries this coveted seal.  They also take their greenery one step further, creating multitasking products like their Freedom Glow that can be used on lips, cheeks, or just about anywhere you need a little color – thus saving you from purchasing yet another product.

USDA Organic

While the Revolution Organics Freedom Glow and Freedom Gloss don’t quite make the USDA cut (they are 100% natural, but only 85% organic), they far exceed my aforementioned standards.  Plus, any product that can be certified organic and list Rachel Zoe as a fan HAS to be amazing!

Revolution Organics is on sale at gloss48.com starting Monday August 20th at 11am ET / 8 am PT.

True to their promise, these products multitask like, well, me on a conference call.  As you can see from the swatches below, while the Freedom Glow colors appear bold in the stick format, the product goes on sheer – perfect for adding a little color just about everywhere.  These lovelies are perfect for a night out because they are clutch-friendly and they don’t require brushes!

How important is it to you for your products to be green?  What are your favorite natural and/or organic lines?
