How to Get Huge Volume Just Like Adele

June 22, 2012

Leonor Greyl has been creating swoon-worthy, luxury, results-oriented products for over 40 years. Celeb stylists have used the product to prep just about every red carpet hair idol from Sofia Vergara to Cindy Crawford to Keira Knightley.  Jennifer Aniston and Padma Lakshmi both tout Leonor Greyl’s Masque as their hair savior.

I had to see what all the fuss was about.  I’m not a hair products snob, but I have coarse, dry, wavy hair and I’m happy to splurge on products that work!  I’m happy to report that Leonor Greyl’s Lait Luminescence & Serum de Soie Sublimateur are mind (hair) blowing!  They left my hair soft and manageable while maintaining my natural wave – not an easy feat in this Boston humidity!

Leonor Greyl is on sale at gloss48 starting Monday, June 25 11am ET / 8am PT.

In case you have the opposite challenge (opportunity?) to my thick mess and you’re looking for glamorous, Adele-like volume, READ ON!  Leonor Greyl’s Jo Piazza has put together this fabulous guide to getting Adele’s look.

We’ve been coveting Adele’s hair for some time now. It truly does seem to have a life (and a zip code) of its own! Now you can get volume just like Adele’s in three easy steps.

Step 1: Begin by washing hair with Leonor Greyl Bain Volumatuer Aux Algues – a shampoo designed to add volume to fine or limp hair). Use two applications of this product to ensure maximum volume. For best results, apply a small amount in your palm, and apply directly to scalp. Emulsify with water and build a gentle lather – rinse well.

Step 2: On towel-dried hair apply Mousse Au Lotus Volumatrice  from root to end. Blow dry with a large, round brush as needed.

Step 3: Set the hair with Velcro rollers. Mist with Voluforme Styling Spray directly on the rollers and allow to “set” for up to 20 minutes. Remove rollers, tease hair at the roots if needed, and mist with a final spray of Laque (or Voluforme)  for a light hold through the day.
