Nail Art Ideas | Easy DIY with LAQA & Co. Nail Pens

June 13, 2012

I will admit it: there was a time when I scoffed at nail art.  In my mind, it was strictly reserved for children.  Well, I have come around!  Nail art is an excellent way to mix it up, get creative, and brighten a dreary day.

Here are some steps to finding your inner nail artiste (yes, artist with an “e”):

1.  LAQA & Co. Nail Pens

When it comes to doing my own nails, I find that using a nail pen from LAQA & Co. makes life a lot easier.  LAQA’s pens give even the most challenged nail artiste the control she needs to color inside the lines.  LAQA pens come in amazing colors and the packaging is designed by up-and-coming artists – they even get a cut of the profits!

2.  Masking Tape

You can create unlimited designs with a little bit of masking tape – especially if you have some scrap booking scissors with fun edges or hole punches with different shapes (also available at most craft stores).  I love this idea that I saw on Pinterest:

3.  Inspiration

If you’re looking for some ideas, look to fashion trends or your favorite accessories for inspiration:

Or, if you’re feeling slightly less original, run a quick search on Pinterest for “nail art” and let your beauty community do the work for you!

We want to hear from you!  Where are you finding your nail art inspiration?
